Our lecture series continues with Heather Clemson's lecture entitled 'Prevent Pain, Go for Gain':

You rarely have time for everything you want in this life so you need to make choices and hopefully your choices can come from a deep sense of who you are.

'Not everything that can be counted counts. And not everything that counts can be counted.' -Albert Einstein

Please only book one ticket type as the post-event link will be sent out to all attendees/registrants as well.

The Zoom link for the lecture will be sent out the weekend of the event. We hope many of you will be able to join us!

Following a scholarship at sixteen to the Royal Academy of Music, Heather continued her full-time studies of Viola and French Horn there and subsequently moved to Birmingham where she taught Suzuki Method in state schools. She became an Advanced Skills Teacher, Head of Ensembles and then Deputy Head of the music service, managing staff and running numerous events. Heather started studying to be a Suzuki teacher in London with the BSMA shortly after starting her first teaching job. Having completed the Suzuki teacher training course, she was awarded a scholarship and travelled to Japan to study with Dr Suzuki for three months.

Heather has been a Teacher Trainer for fifteen years and directs the BSMA Violin Teacher Training course in the Midlands. She travels widely in UK and Europe to teach, lecture, examine and to run courses and workshops.

Heather loves every aspect of being a Suzuki teacher and teacher trainer and hopes she can pass on the happiness and pleasure that music and teaching give her every day....... here she is enjoying ringing the bell for the next class at her residential course!
