This residential Suzuki string course has been running for many years and provides a fantastic opportunity for young string players to come together for a really immersive week of music-making, meeting other young musicians, playing and having fun.
There will be a wonderful faculty of teachers from home and abroad, providing teaching, chamber music and other music activities. The course is suitable for Suzuki violinists of all ages and slightly older cellists (around 10+). For older pupils there is also the opportunity for Alexander technique with Sara Khoroosi, experienced in working with young musicians and dancers.
Children below the age of eight are usually accommodated with a parent. Children generally come with a parent, however unaccompanied children are welcome if they have a named adult who takes full responsibility for them.
The course starts with lunch on Sunday 8th August and ends late afternoon Thursday 12th August. There will be a final concert on the Thursday afternoon to which visitors are most welcome. We aim to make the course fun, friendly and relaxing. There will be free time each afternoon so that the school facilities can be enjoyed and the surrounding area explored.
