Thank you for supporting the Friends of British Suzuki Concert on Saturday 5th October at St Stephen’s Church. The money you so generously helped us raise will aid our work in offering bursaries to pupils and teacher trainees.
We were delighted to have a packed house and it was such a pleasure to see so many of you mingling during the interval. We hope you enjoyed the varied programme put together by musical director Kate Conway. Our performers donated their time and we are thankful to them for coming and for playing so wonderfully. A special thank you to our alumna Teresa, who is in the first year of her studies at music college and came from Manchester to play the 1st Movement of the Frank Bridge sonata for cello, and to Eddie Wheedon, who with the trumpet introduced the latest instrument to join the Suzuki family.
In this country, about 2500 children learn an instrument with the Suzuki Method. There are about 320 Suzuki teachers in the UK. Each Suzuki teacher is rigorously trained in the repertoire, philosophy and inclusive and nurturing ethos of the Suzuki method. We are very proud of all of them.
If you would like to continue to support us, do think about becoming a Friend of British Suzuki. A yearly donation would help increase the bursaries we can offer our pupil families and our trainees. You can join here

On behalf of the Trustees, our teachers and the entire Suzuki community, thank you once again.
